John Moore was named president and chief executive officer of Farmer Brothers in January 2024. Before being named as the company’s CEO, he served as its head of coffee, where he was responsible for Farmer Brother’s green coffee procurement, research and development, coffee excellence, roasting and manufacturing, and coffee sustainability initiatives. Mr. Moore also currently serves as a director on the company’s board.
Mr. Moore has more than 30 years of experience in the coffee industry and has worked directly in every stage of the coffee value chain at both a national and international level. Prior to joining Farmer Brothers in May 2023, Mr. Moore served as the CEO for Vassilaros Coffee from 2018 to 2023. Earlier in his career, Mr. Moore was the senior trader and general manager at Volcafe Specialty Coffee, the CEO and managing partner of FAL Coffee Inc. and the vice president of sales and marketing at Octavio Inc., dba Dallis Coffee.
He has also founded and led several businesses, including Jolly Roger Imports, ELIXIR Cocktail & Espresso Bar and the German expansion of New York Gourmet GmbH & Co. Mr. Moore is a Certified Q grader and Cup of Excellence head judge.
Brad Bollner joined Farmer Brothers in 2022 as the vice president of finance before being appointed as interim chief financial officer in 2023.
Before joining the company, Mr. Bollner served as the director of business analytics at Dave and Busters and senior director of finance at Vail Resorts, Inc. From 1996 to 2019, Mr. Bollner worked at GameStop Corp. in a number of roles, most recently as vice president of inventory and allocation.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and economics from Trinity University and a certification with distinction from Harvard Business Analytics Program.
Jared Vitemb joined the Farmer Brothers as vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer and secretary in 2022. Mr. Vitemb’s current responsibilities include overseeing the company’s legal and compliance functions.
From 2017 to 2022, Mr. Vitemb held various positions with FTS International Services, Inc., an oilfield services company, most recently serving as its senior vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer and secretary. Prior to that time, Mr. Vitemb worked as an in-house attorney for Dean Foods Company, a dairy processing and distribution company. Before then, he worked in private practice, primarily with the law firm of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP in Dallas.
Mr. Vitemb received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas.
Tom Bauer joined Farmer Brothers in 2023 and currently serves as the company’s vice president and chief commercial officer. Mr. Bauer oversees the company’s direct store delivery (DSD) operations, sales, logistics, equipment services and product marketing teams.
Prior to joining the company, he served as the vice president of sales and national accounts at Emerald Brand and as the senior director of national accounts and central U.S. operations for DS Services. From 1999 to 2013, he served in a number of leadership positions at Standard Coffee Service Company, Community Coffee, Anheuser Busch and PepsiCo.
Mr. Bauer currently serves as the vice chair on the National Automatic Merchandising Association’s (NAMA) Coffee Service Committee and on the NAMA Foundation Board of Trustees. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado.
